Welcome to the new world of trucking and thank you for your interest. Payload Innovations (“Payload”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. We have prepared this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) to describe the type of information that we may collect or that you may provide when you purchase, download, install, register with, access, or use FreightMate (the “App”), and describe our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.


Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not download, register with, or use this App. By downloading, registering with, or using this App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. This policy may change from time to time. Your continued use of this App after any revisions to this policy means you accept those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.


This Policy is incorporated into and subject to the Payload Innovation Terms and Conditions of Service. Capitalized terms used but not defined in this Policy shall have the meaning given to them in the Payload Innovation Terms and Conditions.


Information We Collect and How We Collect It


Information You Provide to Us

When you download, register with, or use this App, we may ask you to provide certain information,including your name, telephone number, mailing address, email address, zip code, credit card, location, and other personal or proprietary business information. In addition, we may collect information regarding your communications using our Services, including the creation of back-ups of said information, time and content of communications, and other activity when you interact with our Services. If you post any information, such as a review, we will collect that information. Information communicated through or published by our Services will be available to the party(s) to which you are communicating and may be saved or otherwise communicated by them to third parties.


When you utilize our Services, your communications may be stored on our systems while being transmitted or to ensure the quality of communication sent and received via your App account. If you provide us feedback or contact us via e-mail or through the Site, we will collect your name and e-mail address, as well as any other content included in the messages, including meta-data. When you utilize our Services, we shall make reasonable efforts to ensure that your communications are only received by the intended recipients and we will not intentionally disclose your communications to unintended recipients except such third parties as may assist us in providing the Services. However, it is possible that a third party may hack or otherwise compromise the integrity of our communication system. We cannot warrant that the information communicated over our system will not be intercepted by third parties or government entities.


We also collect data in a form that does not, on its own, permit direct association with any specific individual. We may collect, use, transfer, and disclose non-personal information for any purpose. We may aggregate your data and remove personally identifiable information. This aggregated non-personal information may be used by us for any purpose, including disclosure to third parties for advertising or investment purposes.


Once any content is published on your App account on your behalf, that published information may be copied or communicated to third parties.


Information Collected from Third Party Companies

We may receive information about you from other sources. We may add this information to the information we have already collected from you via our Services in order to improve the Services.


Automatic Information Collection and Tracking

When you download, access, and use the App, it may use technology to automatically collect:


Usage Details - When you access and use the App, we may automatically collect certain details of your access to and use of the App, including traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on or through the App.


Device Information - We may collect information about your mobile device and internet connection, including the device’s unique device identifier, operating system, browser type, mobile network information, and the device’s telephone number.


Stored Information and Files - The App also may access metadata and other information associated with other files stored on your device. This may include, for example, photographs, audio and video clips, personal contacts, and address book information.


Location Information - This App collects real-time information about thegeographic location of your device and truck to better serve your needs while using our App. The location data that we collect is to provide you with the most up-to-date information as you travel and when you return.


Analytics Companies - We may work with third party analytics companies that collect information anonymously and report trends without identifying individual visitors. These services allow us to view a variety of reports about how visitors interact with the Services so we can improve our Services and understand how people find and navigate it.


If you do not want us to collect this information, you may opt out at any time or discontinue the use of this App. Note, however, that opting out of the App’s collection of location information will disable its location-based features. Please also note if you opt out after a period of service, the information collected may not be deleted, but any additional information will not be collected.


We may use these technologies to collect information about your activities over time and across third-party websites, apps, or other online services.


Information Collection and Tracking Technologies


The technologies we use for automatic information collection may include, but is not limited to:

Web Beacons - Pages of the App, and our emails, may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit us, for example, to court users who have visited those pages and for other related app statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain app content and verifying system and server integrity).


Third Party Information Collection


When you use the App or its content, certain third parties may use automatic information collection technologies to collect information about you or your device. These third parties may include: (i) Advertisers, ad networks, and ad servers; (ii) Analytics companies; (iii) Your mobile device manufacturer; and (iv) Your mobile service provider.


These third parties may use tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use this App. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites, apps, and other online service websites. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based advertising or other targeted content.


We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly.


How We Use Your Information


We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information, to:


  • Provide you with the App and its contents, and any other information or services that you request from us.
  • Fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it.
  • Facilitate the creation of and secure your account on our network.
  • Give you notices about your subscription, including expiration and renewal notices.
  • Respond to comments, requests, and questions, and provide customer service.
  • Carry out our obligation and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection.
  • Notify you when App updates are available, and of changes to any services we offer or provide through it.
  • Resolve disputes and/or troubleshoot problems; develop, improve, and deliver marketing and advertising for the Services, respond to your inquiries related to requests.

The usage information we collect helps us improve our App and to deliver a better and more personalized experience by enabling us to:


  • Estimate our audience size and usage patterns.
  • Store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize our App according to your individual interests.
  • Recognize you when you use the App.

We use location information we collect to help and support you within the trucking industry. We may also use your information to contact you about our own and third parties’ goods and services that may be of interest to you. We may use the information we collect to display advertisements to our advertisers’ target audiences. Even though we do not disclose your personal information for these purposes without your consent, if you click on or otherwise interact with an advertisement, the advertiser may assume that you meet its target criteria.


If you seek to delete your account data, please email us at info@freightmateapp.comto notify us of your App account. The data may include, but is not limited to, reports, your past activity, location data, contact lists, and routes. We reserve the right to retain certain transaction data related to payments and membership subscription for a period of time past termination to be compliant with taxes, business, fraud-prevention, and accounting purposes.


Disclosure of Your Information


We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual or device, without restriction.


In addition, we may disclose personal information that we collect, or you provide:


  • To our subsidiaries and affiliates.
  • To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our businesses, and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.
  • To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Payload’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by Payload about our App users is among the assets transferred.
  • To third parties to market their products or services to you. We contractually require these third parties to keep personal information confidential and uses it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.
  • To fulfill the purpose for which you provide them.
  • For any other purposes disclosed by us when you provide the information.
  • With your consent.
  • To comply with any court order, law, or legal processes, including to respond to any governmental or regulatory request.
  • If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Payload, our customers, or others.

Protection of Personal Information


We take the security of your personal information seriously. Our third-party service providers protect your personal information during transit using encryption. We restrict access to billing information to those employees, contractors, agents, and other third parties who need to know that information in order to process it for us, and who are subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations. Transaction data are stored in encrypted form, including when we utilize third party storage. All financial transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.


We will make any legally required disclosures of any breach of the security, confidentiality, or integrity of your unencrypted electronically stored “personal data” (as defined in applicable state statutes on security breach notification) to you via e-mail or conspicuous posting via the App within seven (7) business days, insofar as consistent with (i) the legitimate needs of law enforcement, or (ii) any measures necessary to determine the scope of the breach and restore the reasonable integrity of the data system. While we endeavor to protect the security and integrity of sensitive personal information provided to the App, we cannot guarantee that information, during transmission through the Internet or while stored in our systems or otherwise in our care, will be safe from intrusion by others. In the event of a data breach and consistent with the above, we will notify users over e-mail or conspicuous posting via on the App unless we believe doing so would put the Services or your Personal Data in increased risk of unauthorized access by malicious third parties, in which case a longer time period may be necessary to ensure the security of our system with additional intrusion.


Identity theft and the practice currently known as “phishing” are of great concern to us. Safeguarding information to help protect you from identity theft is a top priority. Therefore, we do not and will not, at any time, request your credit card information, login information, or national identification numbers in a non-secure or unsolicited email or telephone communication. The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you, or where you have chosen, a password for access to certain parts of our App, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.


Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures we provide.


Consent to Information Collection


By clicking “I Accept,” you consent to our collection of your location information through our tracking technologies, in addition to theinformation automatically collected through your usage of, or access to, the App or Web App.


Accessing and Correcting Your Personal Information


You can review and change your personal information by logging into the App or the Web App and visiting your account profile page.


You may also send us an email at info@freightmateapp.com to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We cannot delete your personal information except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.


Information Disclosed to Third Parties


This Policy addresses only our use and disclosure of information we collect from and/or about you on the Services. If you disclose information to others or authorize us to do the same under this Policy, the use and disclosure restrictions contained in this Policy may not apply to every third party. We do not control the privacy policies of third parties, and you are subject to the privacy policies of those third parties where applicable.

Children Under the Age of 18


Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 18 and children under the age of 18 are not eligible to use our Services. We do not collect or maintain personal information from children that we know are under the age of 18. If a child under 18 submits personal information to use and we learn that the personal information is the personal information of a child under 18, we will take steps to remove the personal information from our databases.
